Working on a bigger one
I began working on an F8-sized piece. Until recently, I had been immersed in making small works. I thought I could simply extend a small painting onto a larger canvas, but I soon realized it was not so simple. With fewer elements, the image feels almost too quiet, as if it lacks rhythm. I find myself needing to be more attentive to composition, and perhaps to work more gently and boldly with larger brushes. Through repeated trial and error, I am slowly learning how to inhabit a larger space on the canvas.
